Note
Murko 1890 states that the author, named on the print only as C. P., translated this from a New Greek version, most likely a Venice 1815 edition
This version contains only 19 of the 24 stories found in Andreopoulos. Murko assumes the others are omitted mostly for reasons of propriety: The hunter, Nomina, The poisoned guests, The three-year-old, Balneator, The coat. Apart from the Vienna exemplar of the print, Murko mentions a copy in the Rumyantsev Museum (now Russian State Library, Moscow).Titles & Classification
