source: edition shares verbatim passages with Maarssen’s Amsterdam print from 1677, but contains a greater number of Hebraisms and numerous passages found in contemporary German editions of the Seven Sages from around 1700, which had been revised in the elaborate Baroque style (see von Bernuth and Schmid)
