From Ruth von Bernuth: the source for this text is a Dutch print in the tradition of Leeu’s Dutch edition (1479), but different from Jacob ben Meir Maarssen’s translation (no. 2). Though it contains no woodcuts, like all other Yiddish translations of the Seven Sages, it does include the captions for illustrations—printed in Hebrew square letters—that appear in some Dutch editions.
