Note

The only thing that sets the "Historia" apart from the "Gesta" is a heading that is not rubricated. Roth suggests that this is the reason why the editor of the older manuscript catalogue (see Sélestat, p. 555) did not recognise the "Historia" as an independent text (see Roth 2004, p.37).

Regarding the scribe: Conrad Brampach, rector of the Parochial Church of Sélestat, wrote "Teil II" (part two), probably for Jean de Westhuss in 1434 (see Roth 2004, p.37).
