Note

Note from the British Library catalogue: "This volume contains the well-known tale of the Forty Viziers, translated from an Arabic original called Ḥikāyat arbaᶜīn ṣubḥ wa masāᵓby Ahmet Mısri, better known as Şeyhzade, in the time of Murat II. This copy lacks the first few folios and begins in the middle of the epitome which tells of the circumstances under which the Tale was told. The First Vizier's story appears on f 5v. This copy corresponds closely in text and arrangement with the one in Add MS 7882. The upper margin of the last folio is missing."
