Note

The "Historia" does not stand out as an independent text from the "Gesta Romanorum"; the "Gesta" has an index of the moralisations. The text contains (similiar to Uppsala Universitetsbiblioteket Cod. C 695) spiritual interpretations of >Canis<, >Aper<, >Puteus< and >Virgilius<. There are numerous errors that distort the meaning. (See Roth 2004, p.91).
