Note
There is some confusion about the dating of this manuscript. The BNU catalogue gives the dating as 18th c., while the NLI gives it as 19th c.
Note from BNU library catalogue - after listing E. Carmoly as an early owner of the text, the catalogue continues:
"Suivant une note d'Euting aux feuillets 1 vo, 2 vo, le même Carmoly doit avoir copié les feuillets 3 à 14, qui contiennent le texte hébreu de la Relation d'Eldâd le Danite, publiée par Carmoly (Paris, 1838, in-8o), et du commencement des fables de Sindbad. Or, Carmoly lui-même prétend (ibid., p. 19) que ce fut le « célèbre Daoud Zabach de Maroc » qui lui avait envoyé la copie de la relation d'Eldâd. - Le reste du volume contient des interprétations de versets bibliques. Au fol. 87, le copiste donne une liste d'ouvrages qu'il avait achetés, en 1746, chez un nommé Joseph ben Samuel."
