Pattern of embedded stories in this manuscript

This text is fragmentary: according to Zimmerman (2003), the first two exempla of the Empress are missing entirely, and the first master's exemplum is completely absent. The beginning of the second master's story is also missing. Between pages 4v and 5r, several leaves are lost with text loss, including the conclusion of the third exemplum of the Empress, the entire exemplum of the third master, and the beginning of the Empress's fourth story. Additionally, between 27v and 28r (within the exemplum of the sixth master), between 37v and 38r (within the exemplum of the seventh master), and between 60v and 61r (within the exemplum of Diocletian's son), a leaf each is missing with text loss (as mentioned above).
