incomplete: "narration stops at the end of the third story (Aper)" (Bampi 2007, p. 19) probably translated from Hir henet [sic] sik an een boek vnde heth in deme dudeschen de historia van den souen wysen meisteren (incipit) [Lübeck: Lukas Brandis, ca. 1478] (see Schöndorf 1992) codex also known as Codex Askabyensis "contains explicit clues to how the stories should be interpreted" (Bampi 2007, p. 38; also see for examples ibid.) contains moralizationes and reductiones (see Bampi 2007, p. 38) the complexity of the place of manuscript production (and ownership) is discussed in Bampi 2007, pp. 31-35
