The finding aid for the Cwrtmawr manuscripts indicates that this text was published in in Y Brython (1860); whether that means that W. H. Mounsey copied this from that edition, or that the two share a source, is not specified (though given the dates, we may perhaps assume the former).

Lewis (1925, 1958, 1967) claims that the version of this text published in Y Brython (1860), and the edition in Cymru Fu (1862), have as their source one of the two copies of the Ystori in the British Library - specifically, the earlier of the two texts, rather than the later copy in Owen Myfyr's handwriting.
