The 'Continental Group x' is a branch of the Gesta Romanorum tradition (designation by Röll 1986, pp. 213-215). In some of the manuscripts, excerpts of the Historia appear as part of the Gesta Romanorum.

The Continental Group x contains the frame narrative before the first story, 'Arbor', as well as the frame narrative between 'Vidua' and 'Vaticinium' / 'Amici'; after (usually) three stories from the Gesta-corpus follows 'Medicus' (see Roth 2004, p. 110).
